Public transportation is crucial in a vacation or tourist spot like Bali. Most importantly at the airport where tourists from domestic or international region came.

At Soekarno-Hatta Jakarta International Airport there are taxis but also a public bus system called DAMRI that serves passengers to variant main destinations with affordable price.

But here in Bali at Ngurah Rai International Airport, there is only taxis that from day by day increase numbers till it filled the parking zone at the airport. Also some of you probably know that the price for the taxis services is also so high it surprise you when you hear it.

So in order to keep people coming to Bali on their vacation, Bali should give comfort for those who came. Some people even the ones in the government level gave the idea that there should be a public bus system going in and out Ngurah Rai International Airport just like DAMRI in Jakartas Soekarno-Hatta International Airport.

Making passengers happy with the choice of transportation they would have from variant class and price.

But this is surely just an idea yet to be made happen dear readers.

Some of you probably knows that there are a mass transportation called Trans Jakarta or Busway. A big bus that has its own line on the road so can go through traffic easily, a line that has more then two branch that let people can travel around Jakarta with only just one pay.

Lately Bali local government decided that its time that Bali also have a transportation like Trans Jakarta or Busway, so they create Trans SARBAGITA.

Trans SARBAGITA is finally operating and servicing Bali, with starter areas Denpasar, Badung, Gianyar and Tabanan. For the initial route; Trans Sarbagita serves for route Batubulan to Nusa Dua and through the hotels conclave of Nusa Dua area.

With the fee of only IDR 3.500 for public and IDR 2.500 for students (as wearing their uniform or show the student card) Trans Sarbagita buses will operate from 05.00 hours to 21.00 hours taking you around according to the lines.

Bali government already prepared 15 buses for Trans Sarbagita with wide and comfortable space completed with air conditioning and 24 bus stops around the route for your convenience.

This is one of the government effort to reduce the traffic jam around south of Bali, especially Denpasar, Badung (Kuta, Seminyak and Nusa Dua), Gianyar and Tabanan and to give people good and decent public transportation for people; in particular people that are from different area working in Nusa Dua and vice versa. Not only for locals or those who lives in Bali, but also for tourists that want to go around Bali with public transportation without paying much money yet comfortable.

But as wonderful the Trans Sarbagita can be, turns out its not that much helping or succeed. Why? Well for one thing, with a 60 people capacity bus its to big and a waste of road space and the bus itself because the average number of passengers are not that much.

Another thing is that there are no form persuasive action that can make more people using this transportation followed by the suitable connecting transportation and bus stop, because there are no connecting transportation and the bus stops are to small with no parking space for motor bikes or even cars.

The hope is Bali government can turn the Trans Sarbagita for the better so all the locals even tourists would love to use it for their transportation.

The fact is that the number of new cars on the street in Indonesia or Bali for that matter increase each year, while the roads are still the same.

From those numbers, Bali’s traffic is threatened to be totally stuck in 2015. For that matter, Bali Local Government and Central Government plans to improve transport infrastructure Bali.

The common cause of traffic jam in Bali from what the people say are too many private vehicle both cars and motor bikes, lack of competent public transportation, and the lack of discipline of the drivers.

So from the fact above, here are some possibilities to handle the problem at hand :

1. Build more competent roads without disturbing the nature much.

2. Improved public transport.

3. Enhanced capacity to Benoa Harbor so it can also be the trading entrance and not just Gilimanuk.

4. Government can and must create and enforce a parking rules that apply to all types of business that triggered congestion prone or high traffic jam.

5. Reduce the number of heavy loaded trucks on the main public roads.

6. Control the road fixing and the digging for cables activity around the city.

7. Make all the planned route of Sarbagita transportation bus running with smaller bus that suitable to the numbers of passenger.

The point is, its not so hard to fix the traffic jam problem in Bali or the whole Indonesia. All it takes is just the improvement of the peoples mentality and the good will of the government.

Bali-Indonesia as the land of vacation and fun with nature beauty surround it has always makes wonders for the people that come and visit also those that lives in it. To make Bali more fun and enjoyable for visitors and residents, the local government and community always try to make events that involve the people and nature all together.

One of the events that Bali always have is Sanur Village Festival that surely held in Sanur beach. Each year it has different theme and concept. This year 2012 they choose “Salampah Laku”.

Here a glimpse of the event and the theme;

Sanur Village Festival has become a major event in Bali Event Calendar. The main aim of the festival is to attract large number of tourist from various countries. After its huge success last year, the organizers of the event are planning to make this event even better and bigger. This year Sanur Village Festival going to have a lot of water sports activities and adventure. The event is inspired by Marine life which plays a vital role in daily life of Balinese people. Sanur Village Festival is highlighted as major tourist attractions of Bali event calendar.

The Sanur Development Foundation will hold the Sanur Village Festival VII from 26-30th September 2012. The theme of the festival is “Salampah Laku”. The theme of Salampah Laku was taken from the title of an epic poetic work by one of Bali’s greatest modern writers on the 20th century, Ida Pedanda Made Sidemen, from Griya Taman Intaran, Sanur. This local understanding was to revitalize tourism which sustains so many of the daily activities of the community from the spiritual to the economic.

In a modern context it is hoped that Salampah Laku will become an inspiration for all to provide perfection and purity in their lives by realizing the unity of thoughts, words and actions. Salampah Laku illustrates a life flowing like water which is lived sincerely in order to bring benefits to the environment and others.

Salampah Laku contains high religious, sociocultural and educational values. The value of education is very important as the main theme of the Sanur Village Festival; to inspire members of the community to never stop learning. The value of education will also provide an ideal basis and spirit for developing tourism in Sanur in particular, and Indonesia in general.

The value of education is realized through activities which can be enjoyed by the community, without detracting from the international/universal atmosphere in the midst of artistic, social and cultural activities of the Sanur community. “This festival will display the very best of the many endeavors and activities of the Sanur community, hopefully will motivate and inspire the next generation to achieve their best,” said Gusde who is also the Chairman of the Denpasar Hotels and Restaurants Association.

Gusde said that the festival will once again include previous programs such as the food festival, environmental activities, bazaar, golf tournament, photo exhibition, “jukung” (outrigger boats) parade, fun games, body painting, face painting and caricatures, yoga, live entertainment and various other activities which involve visitors and tourists alike.

Activities aimed at caring for the environment will also be conducted, continued Gusde, such as a beach clean-up, reef conservation, environmental education, turtle hatching and release, also planting of rare trees. “The tree planting this year will focus on planting rare varieties which are usually used in religious ceremonies,” said Gusde.

So all of you beach and water sports lovers pack your bags and come on down to the festival.

Trend of clothes and costumes always changes in this world. The trend can be from a real find art and good to look at to a very odd ones. Such the trend that’s been around in China lately.

The Unique ‘Face now’ is a full clothes that suit your body covered with masks as protective headgear that is currently very popular among visitors to the beach in Qingdao, Shandong province in northeastern China. ‘Face now’ is considered as the most efficient way to prevent skin damage from the sun.

According to the agency broadcaster of China Radio International, ‘Face now’ was originally designed to prevent burning of the skin from the sun, but it is also very effective to prevent insect and jellyfish.

The trend of ‘Face now’ has just swept across China, the clothing was originally designed several years ago but just became popular today throughout the country.

Chinese media said that the people who wear colorful settings to show the mouth and eye holes are the same with the character in the sci-fi movie. But stores across the province are selling it in high quantity and demand continues to grow.

So, will this trend hit Bali also? We just have to wait and see dear readers.

There is one thing that you can be sure tourists will try to buy in Bali for souvenirs and that is silver craft, such as bracelet, rings, earrings, and more.

Bali obtain income of 10.201 million dollars of merchandise shipments made from silver during the first half of 2012, or 11.12 per cent decrease compared to the same half of the previous year which recorded 11.48 million U.S. dollars.
Happens also in terms of volume that decreased 11.87 percent from 3.78 million units in the 1st semester-2011 to 3.33 million units during the 1st semester-2012, said the Head of Public Relations Bureau of the Provincial Government of Bali, I Ketut Teneng, in Denpasar on Wednesday.

That income numbers are from the delivery of souvenirs as many as 53,216 grams in the first half of 2011, an increase of 9.57 percent to 58,309 grams in the first half of 2012.

Ketut Teneng added, souvenirs from silver raw material surely one of the 17 types of home industry handicrafts that is able to penetrate the global market.

Exports of silver depends on the market situation abroad, in addition to tourist arrivals to the island of gods.

Bali as a tourist destination that receives 2.75 million foreign tourists visit each year is one of the potential market for small industrial and handicraft, including the crafting of raw silver. That is a true fact.

Well, now we all know how international tourists love Balinese Silver and because of that also helps Bali-Indonesia income by buying the Balinese silver both on the spot or by shipment.
Technology is increasing and became more advance as we know it from time to time without any delays. Advances in technology do require an industry continue to adapt, including the music industry.

A recent data from Strategy Analytics reported that there was an increase of 40 percent from music streaming in 2012. It certainly makes revenue from this sector rose sharply to a value of more than USD 1 billion (USD 9.4 trillion). A very great number don’t you think?

“Although the download activity still dominates online music revenues, this market continues to grow,” said Ed Barton, Director of the Strategy Analytics Digital Media.

Up until now, sales of physical CDs are still larger than the digital content. The researchers predict that in 2015, digital music revenues will then exceed revenue from physical CDs.

Advances such as these can occur naturally due to our conscious music lovers. If only Indonesia is able to do the same thing, almost certainly the local music industry will continue to evolve in a positive direction.

Well, data has shown and the public knows what to do. Its just all up to the music industry people know on which direction are they taking the Indonesian Music Industry.

Have a nice day dear readers.
