Tabanan regency is known to be Bali’s granary that owns lots of Pura/Temple that is related to that. One of which is Pura Pucak Tinggah.
This temple is believe to be the meeting point of Bhatara Brahma and Wisnu to give prosper for the farmers.
The name Pucak Tinggah means the top of the bamboo jungle, because this temple use to be a bamboo jungle.
The keeper of the temple Nyoman Artana explain that there are 3 monuments that reflect the happening of Pucak Tinggah Temple that is a result of an Dutch Ancient Expert Dr.R.Goris in 1977 that gave code name to the monuments 007 Angseri A, 508 Angseri B, dan 1009 Angseri C.
The proof of this temple being the meeting point of Ida Bhatara Wisnu and Ida Bhatara Brahma are the many amount of springs in the temples area.
Back in the days, this temple was strength by lots and lots of family’s as members, but since 1990′s it got shortened to only 60 family’s.
This temple is up to 14 hectare wide with many small temples inside to put the offering while praying, and runs by 7 priest and their many assistant.
For your info, this temple is not so hard to reach because its on the tourism path of Jatiluwih and Angseri hot water.
