Foreign Students Studied Balinese Culture

Lately the Indonesian Departement Of Foreign Affairs have  program of introducing the Indonesian culture as whole to other countries. To put that program in motion, the Department invite students from other countries in the world to come to Indonesia and learn about the culture here.

There are 54 foreign students that are being invite to learn about the culture in  Indonesia for three months and they are placed in several provinces, said the instructor of art and culture of Bali, Drs Dewa Nurjana in Denpasar. From the 54 foreign students, ten are placed in Bali and the rest were sent to Yogyakarta, Solo, Bandung, Makassar and Papua and deepen their local cultural arts.

Especially for the island of gods there are ten students who came and they are from Spain, Serbia, Vietnam, Laos, Thailand, Germany, Turkey and Poland, deepening the arts and cultural life of the Balinese.

Dewa Nurjana said, the young students from abroad will spend three months in Bali in addition on studying the art of dance and percussion also invited for a tour to find out how rural communities and civic life
“We show the Balinese culture as a whole,” said Dewa Nurjana and in that way the world community through the students who were invited by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to the various regions of Indonesia will know the true culture of Bali and Indonesia.

Those young students are happy to come into Indonesian or Bali living especially. The simple and natural life of our people. Working together side by side in the farm.

The students can be together with the rular village people in Bali working to make facilities and religious ceremonies, also a student dive observations and blend into the population feel that togetherness.

Living in this atmosphere of Balinese society as a whole in the field for three months so that the foreign students  can understand the local culture and will discuss it with other colleagues to know the culture of Indonesia, said Nurjana.
